SBM Offshore provides floating production solutions to the offshore energy industry, over the full product lifecycle. The company is market-leading in leased floating production systems delivered to date, with multiple units currently in operation and has unrivaled operational experience in this field.
Our main activities are the design, supply, installation, operation, and life extension of floating production solutions for the offshore energy industry. We have over 360 years of cumulative experience in this area and have built over 50 floating systems, with more than 6420 workers globally.
SBM Offshore was contracted to design, build, operate and maintain the floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) vessels producing oil offshore Guyana, and operates through our local subsidiary, Guyana Deepwater Operations Incorporated which established its office in Guyana in 2016. So far, we have delivered the Liza Unity and the Liza Destiny FPSOs that are operating in the Stabroek Block. The Prosperity and the One Guyana FPSOs are currently under construction. In 2021, our first commercial office on Sheriff Street, Georgetown was commissioned.
